Ms Apricot was looking for love and I made some observations and suggestions based on her natal chart to her. She did not take to them well and responded to the suggestions "This is not me." Essentially, she wants love without having to adjust herself.
I didn't understand why that was the case until I looked at her chart, starting from basics - element, hemisphere and modality balance and house emphasis. I made the unforgivable mistake of starting from her Venus, Mars and Descendant rulers (Descendant in Aquarius and I subscribed to co-rulerships). Ms Apricot has a rather fixed natal chart - her Sun (chart ruler), Moon, Ascendant, Mercury, Mars and MC are in fixed signs. Jupiter is in a mutable sign while Saturn is in a cardinal sign. No wonder she is reluctant to adjust herself!
Lesson learnt: ALWAYS start from basics e.g. main modality, elemental balance, hemisphere and house emphasis, even if it's a quick 5 minutes, with a new client.
