Possibilities

I had a client who was exploring his career.

Using modern astrology, I zoomed into the location of the MC ruler which is in the 8th. I started to rattle off 8th house interpretations: anything involving transformation e.g. funeral director, surgery, beautician (he has a Venus-Pluto conjunction), depth e.g. research, emotions e.g. counselling, therapy, shared resources e.g. insurance, tax, etc. And it occurred to me that occult studies, anything taboo fits within the 8th house. I deliberated about sharing that with him. And decided to.  Most interestingly, his eyes lit up. He said that he has been considering that, along with counselling.

Unless you have strong psychic powers, it's best to share all possible meanings of a configuration so that your client is not short-changed in any way.
