Note: This post focuses on relationships.
Pluto uncovers what is buried. Venus represents love, relationship, aesthetic taste or even art, among many other significators (e.g. female characters, beauty, beauty things). So a Pluto-Venus transit may uncover what has been buried in a relationship, especially any sources of unhappiness that relates to the relationship.
Uncovering of something requires going beyond the surface to get to the source of something. During this transit, there could be a compulsion or obsession with a love relationship. To peel away the perceptions of a relationship and to really examine it for what it is. To be honest about the truth about the actual state of a relationship.
It's not just unhappiness. Pluto also represents power or more accurately power struggle. Issues of control, manipulation, ruthlessness, vulnerability may be involved in a relationship during this time. A person who is going through this transit may feel controlled by the other person. Or it is an opportunity for the person to reclaim control in the relationship.
Not forgetting the favourite key word of Pluto - "transformation", there's a transformation of values or love during this time, which lead to a corresponding transformation of relationships. If there are aspects of a relationship which hasn't worked in the past, now is the time to get rid of those bits and start all over again. It can be painful to do so, but so can removing cancerous cells/tumours in a body. It's necessary so that the relationship is cleared of unhelpful bits so that it can progress further. But transformation can also mean death - the end to a relationship. The poisonous bits of a relationship takes over and control of a relationship and dies.
