Random Thoughts on Money

money astrology 2nd house
Here's some food for thought:
  1. Does your profession/job necessarily make you the most amount of money that you are potentially capable of making?
  2. Is it possible that your money potential involves multiple sources of income rather than solely from job/investments?
Certainly, we receive income from our jobs. But it might not make us the most money that we are potentially capable of making, if there's no connection between the 2nd house and the 10th/MC or the 6th in the natal chart. Of course, it's best if our best source of income can come from our profession/work but this isn't always possible. If a person's priority is on money (think: a poor person with a family to feed) rather than making a name for himself or feeling fulfilled, why should astrologers place a priority on a client being in his/her ideal career? For example, a person's profession is that of a singer. But that doesn't guarantee in any way that the person can maximise his earnings by being a singer. In fact, he/she might be better off being a lawyer. It might however be nice if he can integrate the two areas somehow e.g. by being a lawyer in the music/entertainment industry.

I wonder whether having a double-bodied sign i.e. Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces on the cusp of the second house or the ruler of the 2nd house in a double-bodied sign indicates the potential to make income from multiple sources. I know it seems like a no-brainer. Of course everyone has the potential to make income from multiple sources! But I'm exploring the idea of fate/destiny here. For instance, if the sign on the the cusp of your second house and the sign of the 2nd house ruler are double-bodied, would it be advisable to have multiple streams of income to maximise your earnings rather than solely relying on one? My current view is yes.

Pluto in the 2nd house can suggest transformations in a person's money situation. Yes, I get that the 2nd house and Pluto can represent other matters too. But I'm focusing on the concept of upheaval in money here which I have observed in a few clients of mine with this placement. Such a person could make big bucks one day and lose all of it another day. Would an advice to a person having Pluto in the 2nd be to save up for rainy days and not to touch the funds except absolutely required? Or better still, invest in an insurance policy? Or something involving big money. Or to flip it another way, how about using the Plutonian energies to make mega money too.
